How Do I Support You As a Somatic Coach?

As a Somatic Coach, I guide you in restoring a sense of connection, regulation, and safety.

What is Somatic Coaching?

In Greek, soma means body. Somatic Coaching is the practice of reconnecting with the body to access your innate truths, rewire limiting beliefs, and safely process emotions and trauma.

Through my own personal journey, and over a decade of experience as a massage therapist, I’ve witnessed how unprocessed emotions, unresolved trauma, unexpressed truths, and the protective stories our minds create can deeply affect the body’s ability to support us in everyday life.

Every time something is consciously or subconsciously suppressed, the body keeps score, much like a credit card that’s constantly being swiped while the balance goes unchecked. Eventually, it becomes “maxed out,” and starts desperately trying to get our attention through: chronic stress, anxiety, inflammation, autoimmune conditions, hormonal imbalances, tension, tightness, pain, etc.

If you’ve ever experienced any of these challenges, you may have at some point started to believe something is inherently wrong with you and started looking outside yourself for answers. This is often when I become acquainted with people for Massage Therapy. While massage can be incredibly supportive and healing, Somatic Coaching offers the opportunity to access a deeper understanding of healing—physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Each session is a compassionate invitation to come inward, listen to what your body is communicating, and reclaim agency in your own healing. Together, we can cultivate safety within yourself and create meaningful, lasting change from the inside out.

What Does A Session Look Like?

At the start of each session, we will explore what sensations, emotions, or inner narratives are asking to be witnessed. Once they’ve been identified and how they’re showing up in the body, we will transition into the massage room.

Similar to a traditional massage, you may undress to your level of comfort and lie beneath a heated sheet and blanket. You’ll be offered the option of an opening prayer or guided meditation, paired with aromatherapy, to begin settling into your body.

What sets this apart from a standard massage is the inclusion of practitioner guided self-awareness. Instead of manual movement of the muscles, I may offer subtle cues through soft hand placements, fascial release techniques, emotional labeling, breath work, and visual imagery. This softer approach empowers you to hold unconditional presence to release any emotions or traumas stored in your fascia. It can also help shift subconscious patterns that mirror particular kinds of tension, stress, or pain.

At the end of the session, we’ll take time to reflect on what came up for you and work together to create intentional action steps that support and align your body’s wisdom with your life.

**This service is also available virtually for those who can’t meet in person. Though some parts of the session may look different, you will still experience the same benefits. **
